The Jackson Laboratory

Bar Harbor, ME

Wayfinding, Branding, Donor Recognition & Exhibit Design

This project developed as an information master plan for the campus integral to new buildings, landscape, walkways and parking. Native stone was used as a base for the primary site identification signs, with a muted, natural color palette of warm grays with patina/polished copper for logo/logotype. Brighter accent and background colors were used for directional, information and parking signs. An extensive process of public review was successful in meeting the design criteria of the Town of Bar Harbor and the Lab’s proximity to Acadia National Park, a national landmark.

Gamble Design developed a new interior sign system along with exterior/interior donor recognition program and exhibit design for the new reception lobby.
