Exterior, Branding & Identification

An historic Manhattan institution, Harlem Hospital dramatically expanded its existing facility by unifying previously disconnected buildings to create an integrated healthcare campus over two city blocks. Working closely with architects HOK, Gamble Design developed a new system of exterior identification graphics that are highly visible, elegant and luminous components of the entry canopies. A new front door on Malcolm X Boulevard welcomes visitors past a dramatic, five-story, historic mural into a light-filled atrium. A dedicated walk-in entrance on West 136th Street welcomes patients into the newly renovated Emergency Department.
